Those who practice at the NJ Center for the Healing Arts are invested in the future of healthcare. We respect the early foundations of effective healing and health. We engage in ethical practice that is supported by research. We consider possible interactions between biology, psychology, the environment and social conditions. People are given choices about obtaining optimal health.
The body, mind, emotions, and spirit are respected as interconnected dimensions of the whole being. The focus is on enhancement of health, prevention and treatment of illness, and the application of strategies that promote healthy change in the most natural ways possible.
"Integrative"practice is inclusive of unconventional and conventional approaches; the goal is not to undermine the role of conventional practice or its medical prescriptions. Rather, it is a way of seeing and treating that takes the safest and most natural path. Sometimes, this requires the skills of conventionally-trained physicians. Other times, it may be best enhanced by Chinese medicine's view of health systems, by the healing hands of a massage therapist, or by the knowledge of a chiropractor.
